PORI (My hometown. The cultural centre of Finland like said in one tourist book. Pori also has the oldest brewery in Scandinavia that still is in use and they brew the very famous beer called Karhu (The Bear). Pori host the biggest festivals in Finland: Pori Jazz. They have hosted those approx. 10 day festivals since 1966 (look downwards for the link). And what else Pori can offer. Visit this site...)
PORI JAZZ FESTIVALS (Link to the annual jazz-festivals that also presents other styles. One of the biggest Jazz-festivals in whole Europe (approx. 70 000 tickets sold, approx. 100 concerts, approx. 100 bands and over 230 hours of music). F.e. Paul Simon, James Brown, Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Mayall, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder and other big names have performed at Pori Jazz festivals during the years...)
PORI THEATRE (Pori is the home of Finnish theatre which was founded in 1872. Nowadays Pori theatre building is 120 years old (1874) and is the oldest theatre building still used by Finnish theatre company. This year they have f.e. The Beatles Story second year in running and it has been a huge success all over Finland.
