You have just entered my website of The Legless Scotsman's Guide To The Best Whisky Restaurants And Pubs In Finland. My ambition is to collect here all the best whisky restaurants you can find at Finland. Because I don't have enough time or money to travel through all Finland at the moment, I say "thank you" to the members of Virtual Whisky Forum and for their information.



VVF is a very lively and interesting forum for every whisky lover.

I have divided the restaurants into two categories: Group A and Group B. Group A restaurants have better than average single malt collection (approximately 50 or more single malts) and Group B obviously have a smaller one. Those restaurants that have under ~10 single malts on the shelves I haven't included at all. I also have given points and stars not only for the size of the whisky collection but also for other issues that I think are important. And if you started to wonder what the word "legless" means, it's a slang word for being very, very drunk...

And remember, these are just my opinions - feel free to think differently.

For those restaurants and pubs I have actually visited (26 out of 56 at the moment), I've given stars from 1 to 4 and points from 20 to 140 for:

Whisky collection:
100 p= over ~150 single malts
80 p = ~100-150 single malts
60 p = ~50-100 single malts
40 p = ~30-50 single malts
20 p = ~15-30 single malts

The staff:
20 p = excellent knowledge/service
10 p = good knowledge/service
05 p = basic knowledge/service
00 p = poor knowledge/service

The environment
(decoration, design etc.):
10 p = excellent
05 p = good
00 p = basic

The atmosphere:
10 p = excellent
05 p = good
00 p = basic

100-140 p =
(Excellent restaurant and collection)
70-95 p = (Very good)
55-65 p = (Good)
20-50 p = (Basic)
