Whisky Forum members' thoughts about St. Michael
"Great Irish style pub with nice staff who have lots of knowledge about
whiskies. They served the whiskies like they should be - using nosing glasses (and
also water was served). Member of the staff told that they have the biggest
single malt collection in Finland - and possibly in the whole Nordic countries.
Almost 400 whiskies which contains approximately 350-370 single malts.
Twelve years gone since the first single malts were bought. Also nice beers
available, like Guinness and Caffreys. Let's say that the music was played
quietly which was nice. You didn't have to shout to have a conversation.
Whisky Magazine 7/2010 estimated St. Michael as the only Finnish
restaurant to be noted in the list of the best whisky restaurants in the world.
This would be my favourite pub if I was living in Oulu."
